WHY IS MY WALL BOWING?A wall that is bowing/curving, and typically into your home, is known as a bowed wall, and is a fairly common problem. This is caused by excessive pressure in the soil around a home and is commonly seen in basements. The soil forces extend onto the foundation wall, and it will eventually cause it to curve or bow. Eventually, cracks may also form on the damaged wall, and these can cause water seepage, typically into your basement.
HOW TO FIX A BOWED WALL IN YOUR BASEMENTTo help with this situation, we can install carbon fiber strips which will be able to reinforce, strengthen, and stabilize the wall. Carbon Fiber is a proven popular alternative to steel for reinforcing bowed walls.
